Marketing and Communications

The website is the main tool to be used in order to promote our work in "Research into Stroke Care and Rehabilitation."

Our primary interest is in Stroke Rehabilitation Research.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines rehabilitation as:

Rehabilitation is a process aimed at enabling people with disabilities to reach and maintain their optimal physical; sensory, intellectual, psychological and/or social functional levels.  Rehabilitation provides disabled people with the tools they need to attain independence and self-determination.

Research must be such that it is aimed to fulfill the needs of stroke patients and which results in improved care and quality of life, as defined by WHO.  It must not be research that is remote from the patient experience and should ensure that such experience will be embedded into the research itself.

The Market Place

Our aim is to promote the work that we undertake across the entire spectrum of organisations, partnerships and the public at large who have a commitment to finding better ways in which to discover, provide and deliver better stroke care and services for the benefit of all stroke patients and their carers.

Communication

  • Advertise our successes by listing our involvement in the research projects and trials in which we have been involved.
  • This to be undertaken on a continuous basis and in addition to the use of the website, to include as appropriate, all forms of the MEDIA and promotional publicity documentation produced by ourselves.
